Galboss represents a collaborative movement in Asia where women are encouraged to rise up and chase their dreams. It’s about encouraging the multi-hyphenate and being proud of it: you are a mother, a daughter and a wife but you’re also a boss. By creating a supportive hub of like-minded female entrepreneurs, business leaders and those aspiring to be, Galboss aims to inspire more women to think big, empowering them to bring their A-game in order to change the game.

Aimee Song is an interior designer by trade who also happens to run one of the largest fashion and lifestyle sites, Song of Style. Her personal style is inspired by her love for architecture and interior design, evoking a chic fusion of textures, patterns, colors, and shapes. Based in her hometown of Los Angeles, her content ranges from what she wears and home décor to travel and beauty. She has worked with some of the most venerable brands globally, including Laura Mercier, DVF, Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Kors, Bloomingdale’s, Tiffany & Co., Valentino, Saks Fifth Avenue, Diet Coke, and others. She has also been featured in Vogue Spain, Elle, Glamour, and Time. Most recently Aimee was included in the Business of Fashion’s prestigious BofF 500, a professional index of influencers who continue to shape the global fashion industry, as well as named one of Forbes 30 under 30.

As the founder and CEO of Singapore-born skincare label Skin Inc, Sabrina Tan took the brand from infancy and turned it into an international success, taking the beauty industry by storm with the launch of the world’s fist skin supplement bar. Armed with an innate ability to harness the power of the digital age, she spearheaded the brand’s high profile collaborations with top international influencers the likes of Aimee Song, Michelle Phan, Chriselle Lim and Chiara Ferragni. Skin Inc currently has franchises and distribution points in over 10 countries and her work has led her to be chosen as one of Singapore’s 50 Most Inspiring Women by Her World Singapore as well as featured in the New York Times, WWD, the Straits Times and CNN. She was chosen as a panelist at CEW Newsmaker Forum Series for Beauty Disruptor, and her brand was chosen by Google as a hero case study for their highly impactful ‘Go Global’ campaign. A mother of two, Sabrina is currently a member of ACE’s Sub Committee for Women Entrepreneurship and aims to help empower women from all walks of life.

Tan Su Shan is the group head of consumer banking and wealth management at DBS, prior to which she was region head for Citi Private Bank and Morgan Stanley’s head of private wealth management for Southeast Asia. Su Shan is currently a Nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore and was the founder and past president of the Financial Women’s Association in Singapore, and a board member of Aetos Security Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings. She also sits on the investment committee of Ministry of Health Holdings and is a member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore Private Banking Advisory Group. In 2014, she was the first Singaporean to be recognised as the world’s best leader in private banking at the PWM/The Banker Global Private Banking Awards. On a personal level, the mother of two is actively involved in fund-raising for various Singaporean charities and sits on the board of Singapore’s KK Hospital Health Endowment Fund.

Shannon Kalayamitr is the co-founder of MOXY, an integrated End-to-End e-commerce platform which became Thailand’s top online lifestyle store. In 2014, MOXY was acquired into the MOXY Group, an Ardent Capital backed venture, joining four other lifestyle e-commerce verticals — Petloft, Venbi, Sanoga and Lafema —  of which Shannon is the group chief marketing officer.  In her role, she oversaw the Group’s expansion and growth in ASEAN, spearheading the merger of MOXY with Bilna, Indonesia’s top Mother’s and Babies e-commerce site. The business was then rebranded as Orami, whose board includes Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, Gobi Partners (Alibaba’s investment arm), Ardent Capital and MDV. ORAMI is the currently the number one online shopping destination for all things women related, curating the best products, ideas and inspirations for all women’s needs. On a personal level, Shannon remains active the non-profit sector, passionately raising awareness of women advocacy, disaster relief work and public speaking on entrepreneurship and community outreach. She was chosen as one out of 25 women in Asia to speak at FORTUNE”s Most Powerful Women Summit in Hong Kong in 2016 and is the quintessential mover and shaker.

She is a two-time entrepreneur, an accomplished international media strategist with 15 years’ deep domain expertise in covering 13 Asia Pacific markets and technology companies. Lee’s successful track record has seen her in numerous press interviews and speaking roles at conferences.

Talenia Phua Garjardo is the CEO/Founder of The Artling, a curated online art gallery, and Luxglove.com, a Secondary Marketplace for art and luxury lifestyle items. The Artling has amassed artworks from over 120 art galleries and 600 artists from 22 countries ranging from Thailand, Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea and more with artwork inventory of over US$25m. She previously founded her own interior architecture & design practice which she started after working for Zaha Hadid Architects for several years in London. Luxglove.com, her latest endeavour, is a Secondary Marketplace for pre-owned, vintage/antique items ranging from art, design, watches, jewellery and rare whisky. With her start-ups, she aims to build strong communities locally and in the region around like-minded passionate collectors, while enabling sellers and/or artists to reach new audiences via the online platforms. Talenia is Singaporean, received a BA (Hons) Architecture from Central Saint Martin’s in London and is a Loke Cheng Yim Scholar.

Shirley Wong is an entrepreneur and has more than 28 years of experience in the IT & Technology industry. She is the Chairman of SiTF and also the Managing Partner of TNF Ventures Pte Ltd. Prior to this, Shirley co-founded Frontline Technologies in 1994, and it was listed on the Singapore Exchange in March 2001. Subsequently, the company was acquired by British Telecom Global Services in March 2008. She has been active in the startup scene, helping startups to secure funding, access to resources, market connections and go to markets. She is incredibly passionate about entrepreneurship and is excited to help build the startup community in Singapore. Shirley serves on the board of Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, Singapore Science Center , Co-chairman of the Cyber Security Awareness Alliance, co-chairman of NKF Volunteer and Patient Advocacy Committee and member of Temasek Polytechnic IT School Advisory Council.

Tan Yen Yen is Managing Director of Asia Pacific (South) for SAS Institute. Prior to joining SAS, Yen Yen was Senior Vice President of Applications for Oracle Asia Pacific and Vice President and Managing Director for Hewlett-Packard Singapore (HP). Yen Yen is currently the Chairman of Singapore Science Centre, Director of Singapore Press Holdings, Director of Gemalto, Director of Defence Science and Technology Agency, Director of Cap Vista and Advisor Mentor of TNF Ventures, a startup investment fund. Additionally, she sits on the Board of Singapore Institute of Directors, the Board of Advisors for National University of Singapore’s School of Computing and Singapore Government’s Committee on the Future Economy as a sub-committee member for Corporate Capabilities and Innovation. An award-winning corporate leader, Yen Yen has earned several recognition in awards such as ‘Most inspiring Women’ by Women’s Weekly 2009 Great Women of our Time Awards and Top 10 women in The Peak’s 2015 Power List. She is married with four teenagers.

Huang Shao-Ning was the co-founder of the JobsCentral Group, growing it from a two-person start-up to a 150-strong online recruitment business across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. In 2011, JobsCentral was acquired by CareerBuilder (USA) and she served as group deputy CEO / Singapore managing director until June 2014 where she was responsible for the successful integration of the Singapore platform with the global operations, and heading the launch of CareerBuilder Indonesia. Since 2014, Shao-Ning spends her time mentoring start-ups while looking at business plans for investment potentials. She is mother to four boys aged one to 14.

Winnie Chan is the Founder and CEO of Bynd Artisan, a retail concept that builds upon her family business’s old craftsmen’s experience in book binding and leather crafting. Founded in 2014, Bynd Artisan has grown from strength to strength, and in a short span of one and a half years, has attained recognition as an innovative Singapore brand offering new, unique and compelling retail experiences to its customers. A University of California, Berkeley Economics graduate, she has been instrumental in transforming her 70-year-old family business and spearheaded many initiatives to professionalise the family business from attaining quality and environmental certifications to implementing strategies to support future business growth and developing the next generation of leaders.

Grace Chng is a respected and seasoned tech journalist in Singapore. She has wide experience setting up and managing editorial teams in Singapore and in the Asia-Pacific. She has interviewed the world’s leading tech CEOs including the late Steve Jobs, Microsoft’s co-founder Bill Gates, Oracle’s chairman Larry Ellison, AirBnB’s co-founder Nathan Blecharczyk, Catcha Group chairman Patrick Grove and Lazada’s CEO Maximilian Bittner. Grace has layered on innovation and entrepreneurship on top of her extensive knowledge of the global tech industry.

Tjin Lee is the managing director and founder of the award-winning Mercury Group of companies catering to business in the fashion, lifestyle and luxury industries. In 2009, Tjin’s love for fashion inspired her to spearhead the establishment of Audi Fashion Festival which was renamed Singapore Fashion Week in 2015. A passionate entrepreneur, Tjin boasts directorship in nine local business including Trehaus Co-Work, Baby Style Icon and Wolfgang Violin Studio. She also co-founded CRIB, Singapore’s first business and lifestyle incubator targeted at women that aims to empower and encourage women to create successful businesses while maintaining work-life balance. Tjin was the recipient of the inaugural Singapore Tatler Young Achiever Leadership Award and is mum to two young sons, Tyler and Jake.

Min-Li Tan is the managing parter of Colin Ng & Partners who has been recognized in AsiaLaw Leading Lawyers 014 and the International Financial Law Review. Her principal areas of expertise include corporate and financial services and regularly advices on Singapore Exchange compliance and corporate governance. A fashion lover, Min-Li designed and launched her first capsule collection while serving as an executive producer at Xeitgeist Entertainment Group working on international films ‘The Man Who Knew Infinity’ and ‘Damascus Cover’.

Elim Chew is the Founder and President of 77th Street (S) Pte Ltd, a streetwear fashion and accessories retail brand in Singapore. She also co-founded a social impact business — Fastfast, an app providing fast and instant on demand delivery services to consumers, while giving an additional source income for people who need it. Elim is a shareholder of BMBX, a company amplifying Southeast Asia’s music and culture and is working on an online platform, elimchewtv. Elim sits on more than 20 boards and committees of public service, youth and community organizations such as Mediacorp, School of The Arts and Social Lab Ltd and is a mentor to many aspiring youths and entrepreneurs.

Sarah began her entrepreneurial journey at the age of 24 and founded The Dream Collective (a network connecting young professional women), co-founded Gemini3 (Australia’s first job share matching technology platform); and authored two top selling books across Asia Pacific while leading and delivering branding strategies for some of the world’s most recognised brands including Revlon, Olay and Coca-Cola. Sarah works with leading corporations to deliver leadership programs to empower high caliber young women and the The Dream Collective has helped to advance the career of some 1200 emerging female talent since its launch. She was the keynote speaker at WORKTECH16 New York and is the Silver Winner of International Stevie Awards for Young Female Entrepreneur of the Year.

Dolores is a co-founder and the chief executive mummy of Mummyfique.com, digital destination created by busy mums for busy mums. Prior to Mummyfique, Dolores built two integrated marketing and communications businesses. One of her brainchilds Ubersprint had branches in China and Kazakhstan which she successfully exited before joining Ku De Ta Singapore (now C’est La Vie) and Catalunya Group as marketing, communications and entertainment head. Dolores’ experience is multi-faceted having worked as an editor at The New Paper in Singapore as well as at top fashion houses Club 21 and FJ Benjamin. The consummate power mummy, Dolores is mother to five daughters.

Sher-li Torrey is the founder & director of Mums@Work (Singapore), a social enterprise that supports women by acting as a point of information source for flexi-time work or mumpreneur business-owners. It has more than 26,000 member mums, inspiring partner employers the likes of JP Morgan, Microsoft, IBM and Shell to implement new ways of work culture. As founder of Singapore’s first flexible work career portal, Sher-li is a voice for diversity and inclusion as well as women-related issues. She frequently speaks at TAFEP Singapore, People’s Association and IDA events and often shares her expertise with private companies. Sher-li currently sits on the Singapore Government’s REACH Supervisory Panel and is the co-author of the book ‘Successful Work-Life Balance: The Flexi-work Way / The Mumpreneur Way’. She is married with a daughter and son who are her main source of inspiration.

Tan Su-Lyn is co-founder and CEO of creative communications agency, The Ate Group. Over the last decade, Ate has grown to be recognised as one of Singapore’s leading communications experts in the F&B and travel hospitality space. For five years, Su-Lyn was director of The Miele Guide, the first regional guide to the top restaurants across Asia. In her personal capacity, Su-Lyn has collaborated with Singaporean chef Justin Quek to write his first and with Dr NK Yong and his wife Melina Yong on their first of a series of cookbooks, Wine Dinners: Pairing Asian flavours with Bordeaux wines which won multiple awards at the Gourmand Cookbook Awards 2009. Su-Lyn conceptualised and edited a book called Inside the Southeast Asian Kitchen, a cookbook commissioned by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and has also written the Lonely Planet World Food Guide to Malaysia and Singapore, and the Singapore Wedding Planner. Su-Lyn is one half of the team behind the popular food blog ChubbyHubby. With her husband, Aun Koh, she shares their passion for cooking, dining and travel on the well regarded website. Su-Lyn is a mum to two children.

Melissa Lwee-Ramsay is an editor with more than 10 years of experience working across multiple platforms such as newspaper broadsheets, print titles and digital media. A Singapore Press Holdings scholar who started her career as a consumer lifestyle journalist at The Business Times in, she later moved on to work on the international media title, Billionaire. In her role as Editor-in- Chief at Billionaire, she was part of the founding team that introduced the company’s flagship Billionaire.com.  In 2015, after the birth of her daughter, Melissa co-founded Mummyfique.com, a game-changing digital platform for savvy, time-starved modern mums. It was created as a resource destination for busy mums as well as a launchpad for mumpreneurs to gain visibility for their businesses while supporting the mothers in the cottage industry by stocking their handmade wares. Melissa has a personal interest in supporting fellow mothers by inspiring culture change in the workplace.

Cynthia is the group CEO for ONI Global Group of Companies, the master franchisee for GNC in Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan. Driven to entrepreneurship in her 20s and despite then having a full-time job, Cynthia founded Nature’s Farm chain of health food stores, which she later sold. Cynthia is also founder and CEO for LAC, a leading lifestyle nutrition brand focusing on beauty, anti-ageing and wellness, which expanded in recent years to become a global distribution network. Under her dynamic leadership, ONI has grown from four local retail stores to today’s over 200 regional retail and eCommerce stores. 

Anne is the co-founder and group director of the Norbreeze Group that has successfully established international renown brands like Bering, Cath Kidston, Pandora, Philip Stein and Skagen in South East Asia. Armed with more than 13 years of experience in branding, graphic design, marketing and PR as well as being well-versed in communication design and goldsmithing, she started her own creative design company, Trads Creative where she provided creative solutions in corporate branding and design for clients the likes of Four Seasons in Bali and Volvo. An active member of Prime Time – Singapore’s association of network for professional women, she engage regularly with an extensive group in the corporate and retail business community and is a mother of two.

The deputy chairman of Wong Partnership LLP, Rachel is a corporate lawyer involved in listings, corporate advisory, corporate governance and compliance. She is an an independent non-executive director of Olam International Limited, StarHub Ltd. and SPH REIT Management Pte. Ltd., manager of SPH REIT. She is also a board member of Certis CISCO Security Pte. Ltd., the Public Utilities Board and the Singapore Accountancy Commission. She sits on the Board of Trustees of Singapore Institute of Technology and the Council of the Singapore Business Federation. Rachel is a member of the Committee on the Future Economy. She is also a member of the Appeals Panel of Abu Dhabi Global Market and a Supervisory Committee member of ABF Singapore Bond Index Fund. She also sits on the board of the Singapore chapter of the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA) among others. Rachel is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors. She was invited to be and is one of the SG50 Champions of Changes for BoardAgender while serving as a mentor for the Young Women’s Leadership Connection (YWLC). She was awarded Law Firm Managing Partner of the Year at Thomson Reuters’ ALB South East Asia Law Awards 2011 and 2013. Rachel was conferred the prestigious “Woman of the Year 2014” by Her World in October 2014. Rachel was one of the 10 women honoured in November 2015 by The Peak Magazine in its Power List 2015.

Velda Tan’s first foray into the world of entrepreneurship was fresh out of Junior College at the age of 18. Noticing that the online shopping market in Singapore was then untapped, she was a pioneer in the local ‘blogshop’ phenomenon with her first blog-based e-commerce site BonitoChico. In a few short years, it evolved into a full-fledged online retail store now known as Love, Bonito, one of Singapore’s most popular online shopping destinations. Velda headed the company as co-founder and creative director. After leaving her executive position in 2013 to pursue other interests, Velda has since helped to set up Singapore’s first lobster-only restaurant Pince & Pints, completed the Business of Floristry course at Judith Blacklock Flower School in London, and also various fashion design courses at world renowned Central Saint Martins. Velda could not deny her affinity to fashion, and launched her new ready-to- wear womenswear line COLLATE, which made its runway debut at Singapore Fashion Week in May 2015. She hopes to create a brand of corporate chic that melds empowerment , femininity, and inspire a new wave of fashion entrepreneurs with COLLATE as her starting point. As one of Singapore’s top fashion social media personalities, Velda was chosen as one of the 10 ladies in Elle Singapore’s Power List. She enjoys brand building and social media marketing and hopes that her story can inspire more women, regardless of background, to embark on the path of entrepreneurship.

Pat Law is the founder of the award-winning social influence agency, GOODSTUPH. Armed with over a decade of experience in both traditional and digital advertising for over 30 brands, Pat’s unique abilities and skills has made her a sought after digital strategist to clients the likes of DDB Singapore, SingTel, Lenovo and Unilever. Voted by both Prestige Singapore and Her World Singapore as one of Singapore’s top 40 under 40, Pat’s works have been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Fast Company and Trend Hunter. She is also the founder of online retail label, THE DAMN GOOD SHOP.

Lianne is the manager at Facebook who coordinates and develops the account management program for small and medium businesses across Asia-Pacific. She leads a team of account managers focusing on Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines who works cross-functionally within the Facebook organisation to drive revenue and solutions. An online marketing and web analytics specialist, Lianne has worked for top companies the likes of Google and IBM and is experienced in team management, project management, advertising, sales, business operations and business development.

Anita Kapoor is a Singapore-based television presenter who has hosted shows on Discovery, TLC, ChannelNewsAsia, okto and AXN. Known for her eloquence and wit, Anita is armed with the rare ability to instantly connect with everyone from politicians to superstars. A former magazine editor, Anita is the consummate multi-hyphenate and is known of her hosting skills with clients spanning all industries from lifestyle brands to charities. She is an ambassador for the Singapore chapter of Habitat for Humanity and has spoken at TEDxSingapore Women 2012.

Yoyo Cao is the founder and brand owner of Exhibit that showed at Singapore Fashion Week 2015. A fashion icon, Yoyo is known for her stylish looks, often being photographed at international fashion weeks by well-known photographers such as Tommy Ton. With more than 150,000 followers on Instagram, Yoyo is a social media powerhouse who was crowned “Golden Peacock” by New York Time’s The Cut Magazine and is the creative arm behind Exhibit.

Anita Kapoor is a Singapore-based television presenter who has hosted shows on Discovery, TLC, ChannelNewsAsia, okto and AXN. Known for her eloquence and wit, Anita is armed with the rare ability to instantly connect with everyone from politicians to superstars. A former magazine editor, Anita is the consummate multi-hyphenate and is known of her hosting skills with clients spanning all industries from lifestyle brands to charities. She is an ambassador for the Singapore chapter of Habitat for Humanity and has spoken at TEDxSingapore Women 2012.
